Chained Together is a cooperative adventure game where teamwork is imp. Players take on the roles of two convicts, Shackle and Bolt, who have their legs chained together. Inevitably, they must work together to overcome various challenging puzzles and obstacles that will lead them out of jail.

Gameplay largely has to do with making full use of the chain’s special mechanism. Shackle and Bolt are both powerful and weak, so players must think of strategies and coordinate their character with those of their partner. One player may need the help of another to gain access to higher platforms, and tools, like grappling hooks, will also demand cooperation to solve environmental puzzles. After that, it becomes a question of communication and planning that will get these players through hazardous landscapes and over increasingly complex challenges.
